Hi
I have had an intermittent problem for sometime where the power goes, google suggests this is the MAF, but I was removing it to look at when I saw the Green and Brown wires have rubbed through and are touching or very very close to the engine!

So what does each wire do (brown +12??) and what if one or both are short circuit or grounding out? I assume this is my problem! but would like to know more!

Anyone got a wiring diagram for the MAF circuit?

cheers dieselman,
so Brown is Gnd and Green +12
so brown to chassis no issue but a partial grounding on +12 I assume would be an issue, but its not blowing any fuses!!

what faults would this cause?

If the +12v is gone then the MAF won't work.
