E280 CDI front end clicking when turning left.

Hi

I've got a 10 month old E280 CDI Avantgarde with 14k on the clock. Ive noticed that as I pulll up to a stop when turning left, for instance parking in a space, there is a clicking sound from the front end, almost as if the tention on the suspension as the steering is turrned on full lock, is conflicting with something, rollbar ? MB of Birmingham have had it back a couple of times and so far have not cured it. They retorqued the sub frame bolts but still no joy. As I straighten the steering you can hear the clicking again, almost as if its settling itself, coming out of tention. Can anyone guide me on what this could be, it's driving me nuts.

You need to get them to take the front cover off under the engine and loosen the plate that holds the steering rack. The two bolts that hold the rear of the bracket need to have one washer fitted between the plate and the subframe on each side to increase the clearance.
This will 100 percent cure your fault.

In any event, take it back under warranty.

Insist on a loan car and say "I don't want to be called until you've fixed it". Swine dealers.
