E280 W124 will not start 1995

hello guys.

My E280 auto if failing to start and it does not even fire once, it just keeps turning over without firing. The car was running great 2 weeks ago and started as soon as i turned the key which surprised me for a old car. Since then it has been stood for about 2 weeks and will not fire at all now like there is no fuel getting to it- but i know there is fuel there.

Recently I changed the wire loom on the ignition system as i noticed the car had a little misfire and it had the common fault of the bio degradable wire coating. Since changing the wiring the Misfire has gone and has been fine but a month on & 2 weeks after last starting it and it will not start now.
Any ideas on what it could be or I could check to get it going? I'm going to check all the connections again tomorrow mainly knock sensors to see if all in place for starters.

Measure the crankshaft sensor,,it should be 1k ohms when good,,open circuit or very high when bad

It could be the plug on the sensor was not put on properly and is loose.

Can you smell fuel ?

I cannot smell fuel and i'm going to check the plug sensor now and later try what television said about the ohms on the crankshaft sensor.

can you hear a short noise of fuel pump working when
in ignition '-on- position

if not

try to check fuel pump relay and ovp relay .

but usually , ovp relay , there are some cracks in circuit.
