Picking it up Friday, 46000 miles two owners, will it be reliable? OAP steady 60mph driver.
Wondering if I'm likely to have problems hybrid battery etc, car drives really well, great service history.
I believe the only reason for buying any hybrid is to reduce your BIK (Benefit In Kind) tax burden - I don't believe you're in that bracket (sorry about that...) so I wouldn't entertain one
A simple V6 or V8 petrol is what I'd be looking at in your circumstances - unless you have full Mercedes warranty and/or another car to use
Have a read of a few threads on here about the E300H...
Thanks for that, there are some threads on the e300d pretty much as other hybrids.
However I have my doubts now on how reliable it will be in the long term.
Fortunately for me I have bought 6 cars from this dealer over several years, he will take it back if I'm not happy.
I'm heading up to isle of Skye next week so it will get a good run, 1000miles both ways, hopefully showing up any faults.
I will change it for a different model e350 probably if anything shows up.
I’ve had mine two years and 40k miles and been delighted with it’s reliability and fuel consumption.
I’m sure you’ll be delighted with your new car.
BTW, premium diesel fuel on this car seems to make a significant improvement over regular diesel, more so than anything I’ve driven before, and the extra cost is easily recouped.
If your was registered before 1st Apr 2017 (mine was one day earlier) you’ll enjoy zero road fund licence fee.
Well as posted in another thread I collected the E300dh late today, the car drives very well, full MB service history, owned from new by a lady in Wimbledon.
The car only has 46000 so divided by 10 years that's pretty good, around 100miles a week, probably used for a school taxi.
Going up to isle of Skye this week so will report back after around 1000 miles round trip.
