I have recently bought the above car.
I am very pleased with it but I'm not sure what the Electric Range should be with a fully charged battery.
I thought is was 35 miles because I have seen that in the Sales Brochure but in the 6 weeks I have had the car, it has never shown more than 22 miles available from a fully charged battery and it is usually about 16 miles.
I can understand in the colder/darker weather that the range will be reduced but I assumed it would start at the maximum, or at least very close to it.

I would appreciate any comments from other owners of this model, regarding the range shown when the battery is fully charged.
Thanks.

What you’re seeing mileage wise with your hybrid is fairly typical at this time of year with very low temperatures. My son has a Mercedes EQC400 EV and I asked him the other day what his current range was and his reply was 180 miles range out of a potential 250. So your car is operating normally and you will see better battery range as the weather warms but the official figure of 35 miles will be difficult to achieve in normal driving conditions that figure was achieved in near perfect conditions as a maximum.

Maybe Mercedes have programmed the system so that it takes account of current temperatures etc, before displaying the predicted range each time.
If that is not the case, I am still surprised that it does not show the maximum.
For example though, yesterday it displayed that the Maximum Charge Level was 100% (~16 miles) but that the charging process was complete at 100% (14 miles)

yeah our EQA shows a lower range when fully charged than when she got it

I assume when the car goes in for a service a health check is done on the battery pack to give an indication/% of usable life left?
I’d imagine so, they do have 100,000 mile and 8 year warranty.
Sarah’s will be 8 years old when she changes it and it’s only got 25k on it

When fully fuelled my `17 BMW 440 shows the same "range" regardless of ambient temp , thats progress for ya ;)

Just saying.

My CLA 250e hybrid charges to much the same range (40 miles) in this weather, although it did have a blip just before Christmas when it charged to <30 miles for some reason. What bugs me is that a 10 geographical mile journey knocks 15 miles off the so-called range.

Do we know what the warranty means in terms of available range towards the end of the warranty.

Nope don’t ask reason being the cars not being used for more than 100 miles a day, that’s what the S class is for. :D:D
