I have taken very good advice from Parrot and Television to take my car to an independent dealer to have transmission codes cleared and the gear box now works fine.
when i booked the car in the garage informed that it could be any number of problems and may be very expensive . i told him i already found and corrected a leaking fluid pipe to radiator and just want the car resett on there diagnostic equipment. He done this and works fine, but the next morning i could not start the beast and the battery died, its trying to kick when i press the accelarater, the car worked absolutly fine until i brought it to the garage even in cold weather and am now thinking that the mechanic done something to deliberitly cause this problem so i will bring it back and charge me another fortune, i already paid him £65 for a resett, any one know how i can get it started and what should be my first action?

Hi Malcolm
finely got my girl started today after prolonged cranking and once started it ticks over fine, One question for you ? when it was cranking the car was trying desperatly to start with alot of sucking noises , i have now noticed when the engine is running there is a small drip fuel leak from the housing where all the fuel pipes meet the lower pipe is wet, is this related and any sugesstions on how i may proceed as i am a confident diy person?
