A friend of mine has this E class and I must admit, sweet and smooth.

However, the sensor that reads the outside temperature sensor seems to be sensing the temperature in the engine bay, as its ready rather hi, say 40 - 50 most times.

CAn someone tell me where it is? so I can see if its fallen out or dodgy connection?

Thanks

Joe

On the blank black plastic panel inboard of the passenger side foglight there should be a little probe sticking out, like a pin. it can get dislodged causing the problem you mention, particularly if you often park front into grassy areas. If you ar elucky its a matter of resetting it. Happened mine like that.
