E320 Cd1 Battery Problem

i have recentley took the battery out of my e320 cd1 to charge. Does anyone know if when i put the battery back in if am going to discover memory loss or electrical faults?:confused: Any help would be much appreciated.

You should be OK for the best part, you may have to reset a few of the user options if you have them.

You do not give the year of the car, and there are some differences from the start to the finish, before 2000 you may need the radio code.

Reading about newer cars 2002 on it seems that if you left the battery off for 3-6 months then your car could revert back to no options and all consumers turned off leaving only the basic running intact. Even the engine ECU could revert to the emergency mode. The fix is a complete set up on STAR.

Best bet is use one of the battery packs connected to the terminals in the engine bay while you are changing or charging the battery.

That is what I did. You will have to reset the steering angle sensor (wheel lock to lock a couple of times should do it) and the one touch windows (hold them all the way down for ~10secs, then all the way up for ~ 10secs)
