Isn't it annoying when something breaks and falls off and you don't recognise it and you can't see where it came from?

I found a piece of trim lying in the nearside rear passenger footwell. I don't know if the location is a valid clue, or not. I suspected the trim might have been broken off by clumsy children, of which I have two.

I've done a lot of searching and I can't see where it's come from. Can anyone ID it from the pictures?

Thanks,

Razoo

It looks like the bit of plastic that stits between the carpet and the seat runner.

Check on the other side. I broke this on Mrs E's W203, apart from decor, couldn't see that it did much.

Thats what it looks like to me too.
Something similar popped off on mine. Took me months to figure out where it went.

Thanks for the suggestion.

I've had another look, but still can't see where it's come from, although I didn't have enough time to do a thorough search.

I shall look again one evening this week.

I assume (considering where I found the broken trim piece) that it should be located at the rearmost end of the seat runners?

On my car I have them at both ends of the runners, and on both rails

Found it!

Thanks for the input guys.

It was indeed a trim piece that sits between the rear end of the seat runner (inside edge) and the edge of the carpet.

The one the other side is still there and they seem very flimsily fitted - very easy for a fidgety kid to kick off.

Leave it off,,its not worth bothering with,,or you could glue it on with an impact glue
