Hi there,

2001 E320 CDI. My instrument cluster is really annoying, the light keeps going out in the centre display. When i turn onthe indicators, the centre panel light goes out, and when i tap it, it comes back on again?

Will MB repair this free of charge, is it part of the recall??

Thanks!!

No recall and no MB won't fix it. They will generously offer you a replacement cluster for £600 or so.
Sounds like a dodgy bulb or connection. May be as simple as checking the bulb holder.
Follow the DIY, pull the cluster out and have a look.
Depending on the fault, contact speedofixer who may be able to repair it.

Just wait until the 211s start ageing. They don't have conventional bulbs so if they go, like mine did a few weeks ago, you're looking at a new cluster (£850!). We should buy shares in speedofixer.
