Hi Guys,
I am in need of a new MAS for my 2000 E320 CDI.
When I got the car recently it was not running well, I found 4 used sensors in the spare wheel well, all of which have different part Nos.
Consequently I do not want to simply obtain a replacement of the unit fitted as I am doubtfull that the fitted unit is in fact the correct one.

Does someone out there know both the Merc and the Bosch part numbers for the correct unit for this model.

Hoping for a positive response

Regards
Vern

Hi

Just go to German and Swedish they will sort you out at the counter or over the phone!! Cost is £45 for cheap EU version of MAS or else know as MAF or over £100 for better brand.

Read my posting for symptoms

All the best

Hi Guys
I have tried the Bosch website and contacted 2 of the parts suppliers listed there and they have been unable to help unless I give them the part number of the piece I want. Both companies have just been Motor Factors who stock Bosch parts. Is there a way to get to Bosch direct? Or do they only operate through Motor Factors?
Malcolm I have seen on another thread that you say Bosch are listed in the yellow pages, I cant seem to find them in my local one.
I would prefer to obtin the correct Bosch unit if possible but If all else fails, I'll give GSF a call.
Thanks for your help so far

MAF for cdi

I think that cdi engines come with a Pierburg MAF. Certainly the newer ones do, I can't be certain about the 2000 model. You can look up the Russian website to get the part number.

If it is a Pierburg, the MB part number is A611 094 0048, the Pierburg part number is 722684070.

These MAFs are sold without housing, you install into your existing housing. The last time I looked, it was about £70 from Mercedes, about £50 from Eurocarparts.

I hope this helps.
