hi to all i am a new member and new to the mercedes just got my first e 320cdi move up from a omega lol any way couple of questions just bought a w,reg 320cdi first off all there is a a rattle comeing from the tappets quite noisy told with a flush and new oil it will sort out but when i put my foot down there seems a lot of smoke ie fuel smoke would thise due to the oil needing changeing ????? the man b4 i got the car seem to have overfilled it with oil ???? second the car came with the full comand centre in but the tv not work its says notv presant any ideas on that please i live in the blackpool area if any membes ar nr here many thanks john the new member

oh and can anyone tell me where can i get an update of the maps for the sat nav its got v4 on the disc where cas i down load it to please

About the Comand, you will need to add a tuner to the Comand.

You can get upadted discs of ebay, only buy original, there are a few copies out there.

Depends when the oil was last changed, and what oil was used. It should be Mobil 1.

As for fuel smoke that could be a number of things, but its basically incompletely burnt diesel so you need to consider timing, injectors, lack of air, etc.

First thing to do is to change the engine oil and filter (Mobil 1) and check or change the air filter as this (among other things) would cause excessive smoke and increase fuel consumption if it is blocked.

ok where do i get the tv tuner from guys and where on ebay would i look for thu updated discs fro or could i download thm

I wouldn't bother asking where you can download things from as that's piracy and I doubt the mods here would appreciate it.

oh i know but you can pay and download though not all of us are theives lol well update changed air filter today it was minging iol and filter doing on sunday is it ik to out engine flush through the system and can anyone tell me where to got the softwear i want too
