Hi, I've got a '53 plate E320 estate avant garde with the sport pack suspension. About 2 weeks ago after pulling onto my drive, about a minute later i heard a tremendous band from the car and looked back to see the f/o/s of the car dropped down onto the tyre. Mercedes recovered the car to the local dealer and informed me the coil spring had broke. They replaced the springs (Both front) but the cars looked like it was sitting high at the front. after taking it to my local dealer they came to the conclusion that the out of town dealer had fitted the non sport pack springs (confirmed by part number check) they then fitted the correct springs but the car still looks high! Any ideas on what is the correct ride height for this car or has anyone experienced anything similar?

I changed the front springs on my CL recently, both fronts, now the car sits about 1 and a half inches taller than before, The rear springs will have aged so the car will be lower at the back anyway but over time the front should settle down.

I currently looking to replace all the springs with an alternative brand to lower the car down again.
