Noisy turbos sound moore like a woooing noise

a whine is more grating

A turbo that is whineing is about to die

A turbo that is wooing, probably has blade damage on the compressor wheel but may continue to do that for many many miles.

Like a trapped owl?a It's doing a bit of both. More woo-like after it has warmed up, I think. Probably fair to assume it's on its way out then?

Update: I'm booking the car in to have the turbo replaced and an Poland filter change. The garage reckon that the engine is fine, so that should be all good.

I have a door lock issue to, but I'll post that separately if research doesn't reveal a fix....
