E320 Turn signal in right-hand mirror failure

Has anyone changed the door mirror LED?
Mine has just failed.
Dealer can supply part - wondered how the mirror comes apart!

If the light unit has stopped working, the chances are there are wires broken in the mirror frame. does the indicator work if the mirror is folded in partically or fully, try this first before gettin a new indicator.

If you are sure then the casing comes off by folding the mirror into the car and using a screw driver release the retaining clip inside the casing and then pull it off. the clip is silver metal. have a look with a torch to see wot i am talkin about.

Thanks for the info - looks like its an intermittant problem as the mirror indicator is working again now!
There was a wiring fault with the passenger mirror a couple of months ago which was fixed under warranty.

I would try to get this done under warrenty as well, most likely a broken wire making and breaking contact.

Warranty run out in December. Warranty company wanted over £700 to cover the car for another year - I declined!
