E320C W124 Keyless entry

My car has the LED door handle and boot sensors, drivers door does not work at all, and the key has been dropped (not by us) so that it rattles and does not unlock the car from the boot 100%. I was going to replace the key, but at £170 for each key, and I'd want a spare which I don't currently have, I'm looking at £170x2, plus the £70 for the drivers door sensor......

Is this solution too good to be true?

Will it work with the car alarm and immobiliser?

If it looks too good to be true, it usually is......
That gadget might unlock your doors but will it work with your alarm?
Might be worth asking the seller?

I know its now 4 years ago but we replaced one of the keys on the 124ce and if i remember correctly it was under £70 from merc have they really gone up so much?

Try the D.I.Y. section there is a section on how to repair one of those keys.
If the key is the same as that in the D.I.Y. thread i agree with juddian my 202 key was aprrox £70 bought 2-3 years ago. I also bought the LED door handle bit and this was £40ish.
Try another dealer, I,ve thought for a long time some dealers mark-up these keys as people have posted the prices they have been quoted.
I was even told this by my MB dealer because on later cars they charge for programming the keys and they come from MB already programmed.
