Welcome
So the garage are priming the fuel filter but still not starting? Was there no fuel (Diesel) in the tank at all when it didn’t start?

Hi they filled the filter manually ithink, its seems to not be drawing fuel from tank, not sure if its the sender unit or the fuel pump, could you tell me the location of low pressure pump?is it under the rear passenger side?

The low pressure fuel pump sits with the high pressure pump at the front of the engine and pulls fuel from the fuel filter. All the low pressure lines are plastic with ‘O’ ring seals which harden/perish over time and allow air into the lines. If the garage has changed the filter they can require quite a bit of cranking to prime the system

aux pump is only next to hp pump like said. If you see air bubbles in clear hoses, it is most likely due to o-rings or brittle hoses.

Does the low pressure pump supply diesel to the fuel filter?

As Malcom said a few posts above:

"The low pressure fuel pump sits with the high pressure pump at the front of the engine and pulls fuel from the fuel filter."

It doesn't supply fuel under pressure to the filter - it obtains filtered fuel from the filter.

Here's the diagram of the fuel system:

And the tank:

There is no pump at the rear of the car hence you should not need an inline pump (thats a bodge to get around the real issue).

There is a fuel strainer in the tank ( part number A1104700486) which is just visible in the bottom of the picture. If that is blocked you won't get fuel delivery.
If you have air leaks anywhere in the lines you won't get fuel delivery.
If you have a crushed/damaged line you won't get fuel delivery.
If your fuel cap vent is blocked you won't get fuel delivery.

Try those things first. Adding a pump where one shouldn't be will mean tapping into the loom, tapping into the fuel lines and finding a place to mount the pump (and it may not fix it).

Make sure there is a good amount of fuel in the tank to add a bit more pressure and as said they do take a while to crank, if this doesn’t work connect a booster to the battery but make sure you don’t overheat the starter.

If all else fails try a hand primer

Does the garage have experience with this model changing the filter and priming the system can be problematic as all MB garages and specialists know?

I wouldn’t entertain an in-line pump, totally unneccary, and not the soltion to the problem, if you can’t prime by hand you have a blockage

That will mean they will be well versed in petrol engines but probably not so up on diesels.

Steve and I would use 'Easi-start'.
After replacing the pipes' O rings.
Priming is not easy.

Your garage don't know what their doing.
