Covered 82k miles and the original front pads were changed at about 58k

I've noticed the front discs look well worn as the lip at the edge of the disc is quite pronounced.

Can the discs be skimmed or just replaced ?

And how much do you think it will cost ?

Discs from mb are about £50 and cheaper from alternative suppliers.

I wouldnt even entertain skiming as it isnt worth it. Mb have a min thickness which after 82k you will be well below so skimming isnt an option.

wow my front pads were changed at around 35k and i've just had all pads and discs replaced at 60k at which point they were well shot!!

i'm impressed too. My pads were changed at 37k. Disks last 2 sets of pads so normally don't need changing until the pads have worn out, though you do seem to be getting unusual wear characteristics.

Prestige car services as often reccomended on here had it done with some other work so better to pm or ring oliver if if you want a price
