E350 CDI Remapping!!!

Hey guys!

Also had a 2010 E350 CDI in for power tuning today. This runs the EDC17 CP10 variation of ECU so it has to be removed from the vehicle and programmed to get round the anti-tuning protection.

Being the 2010 its the 231bhp - 540nm stock and she is now running a healthy 295bhp and 700nm of torque! This vehicle also had our EGR delete software and gearbox mapping.

Also with the increase in the rail pressure it eliminates that tractor technology noise they make when cold and also the general running noise is greatly reduced.

how does the increase in rail pressure make the engine run more quietly? isnt the increased pressure detrimental to the lifespan of the injectors and/or seals on the HP rail, and overstressing the HP pump?

No they run at 17000 psi I think off the top of my head!?!?! It only needs a slight increase to atomize the fuel better making a far more efficient burn so increasing the pressure by say an extra 100-150psi making it 17100 psi is a very tiny increase!

When people install tuning boxes they whack that pressure right up! Way way higher. As with everything we tune the engine without going wild and asking to much of anything. We still work well within the limits of what it can handle.
