E350 CDI Remapping!!!

Hey guys,

Well this little number was perfect for the awesome weather we have been having!!! A lovely E350 CDI Convertible in for power tuning! With the roof down, wind in your hair, loads of torque to put a smile on your face!!! Happy days!

As we all know by now ECU location is ridiculous and in the front right wheel arch! As you can see the thing was filthy and covered in spiders!

We data logged the vehicle and it dyno'd 263bhp and 618nm of torque standard up at Emerald in Norfolk and we had John there main dyno technician do all the pulling for us.

Removed the ECU and pulled all the maps and started working our magic! Full gearbox mapping sorted the laziness of second gear out which is always a little hesitant when say at a round about and you would like to nip into a space.

Anyway Gary tuned the file and we re-dyno'd her and she made 317bhp and 767nm of torque without pushing her to hard!!! As you know we managed 330bhp and 800nm out of one but that needed some other mods to keep IAT's down amongst other bits and bobs.

Now!!! I know what your thinking!!! Emerald's printer was not working so I have not got a dyno print out.... But John is emailing it over later tonight.

Here are some pic of her the first time she was in for Eco tuning but the customer now just wants the power!!!

i wonder how long it will be before the ECU pins start to corrode and give running issues etc?

Well we had a 2014 CLS 350 CDI in Friday and had under 300 miles on the clock and the amount of corrosion on the outside of the metal casing was ridiculous!!!! The plugs however are plastic and have a seal around the unit so I think it will be alright!!!

Ha ha like you wouldn't believe!!! The AMG's of course go like the clappers! There is the sharp throttle and noise and drama ect... But the diesel makes a little rush and just goes!!!
