Gents,
My car has been off the road for a couple of weeks, it failed its MOT on the upper wish bone joints.
Its been making a knocking noise for some time now and finally it the joints were picked up on during routine MOT. Unfortunately mine had the original one peice design units so I had them replaced with Lemforder units where the ball joints can be easily removed.
I've got the old parts and the lateral movement in the joints is clearly noticable, a good few mm in each one!
The nocking noise has now gone!
No issue's so far with the engine cutting out when warm, will run it now that its back on the road and post another update when I am 100% sure the CPS was the real issue.
I supplied a fuel filter to my trusted mechanic who told me he made a few calls after he gave up trying to find the fuel filter on the car, he told me it's fitted with a "long life" filter in the fuel tank as noted within this thread!
If any ones interested I have a new filter Mahle KL82 filter.
Thank you to all!
