Looks lovely, but then I am biased as that is one of the prettiest shaped MBs ever made.

How often do you have to wash it ... to keep it looking presentable?

Must, admit I'm not a fan of badges on cars that don't belong, so probably coming off, but what's your thoughts on the Mercedes AMG line cars, that Mercedes make, are they entitled to an AMG badge

Do AMG Line cars come std. with the AMG badge?
If they do, then I would leave it.

I dont like normal MBs, say like mine having an AMG badge. Just looks stupid, may as well stick a Porsche label on it. Plus I think its a bit of an insult to folks, who have paid the bucks for a proper AMG.

But undecided on the full AMG Line, wearing the AMG badge.

I think M-B have devalued the AMG brand by putting creating 'AMG Line' and badging them with the three letters. Just my opinion.

I agree imo the AMG styling and Badge should be reserved for those who paid for it, the AMG beasts are imo very special .... I admit it, I look forward to owning one ... oneday!

My car came as new with 19” AMG wheels and the correct code, so I am sort of guilty of devaluing the brand

Hard to do though, my car is a Sport spec so has AMG wheels on and they are badged as such

Good point, unless we opt for generic wheels, but I like mine even if they are only 17".

Our 230 has a lot of AMG parts on it (wheels, bumpers, spoiler etc) but no AMG badge. No way I'd claim it was something it wasn't (and I think Malcolm felt the same).

I have an "AMG Line" C class and its a diesel. It has AMG alloys "from the dealer". Do I claim its a c63, no, but if that's how MB sell it then who am I to say differently. Does me de badging my car now make people think "he's only done that cos its a diesel and he wants to make out its something special???

My SL500 is debadged. I doubt anyone will think it's a diesel...
Truth is a diesel with AMG badging people will still think "It's a diesel and he wants to make out it's something special" anyway.

My GLE 350 AMG Line Premium Pack is a diesel tug, bought as a tug. It's debadged as I don't like stick on scriptures to the apostles / novels on my cars. It has AMG on the wheels and the over mats, and the dashboard has AMG stylee things. It has someones signature in the windscreen.

It gets admiring comments. Looks stunning in Brilliant Blue. The interior is remarked upon.

It has a cherished number plate, that relates to me, and I've had for over 20 years, has been on 3 cars, not to hide the age. I attended a funeral recently where guys Ive not seen for 20+ years knew it was my car by the plate, not what it was.

Prior to that I had an S Klasse that wasn't an AMG / AMG Line, but was debadged. It was an S Klasse.

If I wanted a proper AMG it would debadged. I did have a poke around at the new G63 at CountryfileLive at Blenheim last weekend and still aspire to that.

I don't give a flying fig what anyone else thinks about my car tbh

I debadged my C350 CDI because I thought it would look nicer without, but it wouldn't have bothered me at all if you couldn't take them off. It also makes cleaning and polishing a lot easier.
