ECU oil leak - london garage

Hi folks,
We got C200 SE EXECUTIVE AUTO- 2015 model , we noticed jerks during driving, and also Engine error singal keeps coming on and off,
When we took the vehicle to benz garage in stratford , at first they fixed other issues like break pads and leaking fuel valve, but was not able to identify the issue with ECU as it is intermittent - which costed us £1200+ , but after few days eninge light came on , the mechanics at benz took liberty in identifying the problem for free , and said that issue is probably with oil leak in ECU now and gave a quote of £2500 to do replacement of ECU and feedline , but advised us to find out if there are any garages in London which can do the ECU cleaning before spending that much.


We brought the car which was our first for £11k a year back

If I dont get any leads on garages which can clean ECU , I am thinking
1) is it worth to do all the repairs now or just use the car(for school pickup and drop) as long as it runs and do the repair later
2) sell the car probably for £5k and buy some other car with warranty

I would go to an auto electrician and ask them as they are far more likely to have the knowledge and tools to clean oil from circuit boards. Also google 'ECU repairs UK' as there are multiple companies that do this and may also be happy to clean the internals. But get the oil leak fixed first. Remember that you will fail an MOT if the engine light is on.

Some models have trans ecu in p/s footwell. There is a known issue where trans oil leaks its way along trans harness and if left does cause issues. There is a repair to the outlet of trans harness and plug if things have not progressed to far. You should investigate further the condition of harness and trans outlet plug. There will be info on here if you search
