i'm new to mercs and to this forum and need a bit of advice:
i have a c220d 1995 coveredd about 158k.starts ok when warm, when cold though it needs top be turn over a fews times, specially when its cold like now days in the winter.
the edc light comes on when its started from cold, first just before turning over as the glow plug light does to, but as it turns over and starts with a bit of a missfire, and runs for a few seconds, the edc light then comes on again and the engine cuts out.
so a few times like this and then it starts ok. runs kind of ok, its a non turbo so i expect it to be a bit slugish, but i wonder if its somnething simple like maybe a fuel filter or something or is more like a fuel pump or the ecu itself.
anu ideas guys and if you reckon i might need any parts, where to get them cheap.
