I have codes P049E and U11A3(87) on a 2017 E-class 220d, accompanied by the yellow engine warning light. P049E is that the EGR valve B exceeded its learning limit. I had the EGR valve cleaned for £150, then changed for £1100, nothing helped. At the time of changing, the valve was just coated in a thin layer of black soot, so there was no build-up or blockage. The code comes on as pending straight after it is cleared and then becomes confirmed after c. 200 miles, accompanied by the yellow light. The car has 50k miles. I'm really stuck for what could be wrong - clearly the EGR valve is fine and has now been replaced with new anyway. Any help would be much appreciated!
