electric problems for w202 c200

hey there i have 97' c200 and recently it was been having technical issues such as:

indicators go fast
reversing lights arent working....not bulbs.
the lock on the electic fuel cap lock only locks sometimes

has this happend to any body else?
and any ideas what may be the cause of the problem?

Hi I am not sure.Try disconnecting the battery for at least half an hour and then reconnect and see what happens.This sometimes works.There is a procedure with the key fob as well which is in the manual to reset the ECU.

Hi There, Sounds like you have an earthing fault on the lighting circuit which is affecting the indicators and the reversing lights. Check all earthing contacts are to bright metal and secure.

hey thanks for the advice...ive got the reverse lighting going....turned out to be just a fuse. will have to try see whats making the indicators go fast. any more ideas?

Maybe one of your indicator bulbs is out. Have you checked?

The fuel cap lock actuator is vacuum operated not electric. Perhaps you have a vacuum leak?

Check the fuse box under the bonnet, the one with 2 lids to see if there is any moisture in or under the SAM
