Electric problems

I’ve just bought a 52 plate A170 CDi Avantgarde... on the whole Im happy with it however it appears I have an electric problem. The 'SRS' light keeps coming on intermittently and then rev counter died completely. After a while it came back on again but only registered 500revs for the rest of the journey. Once I had stopped and restarted the car the rev counter was working again! Are these problems linked? Has anyone any ideas?

Srs light could be one of many things, needs to go on a star machine.

As for the rev counter, thats a new one but poss a cluster needed!
