I think you need it plugging in on STAR to see what's what - see what the panel think

Re SRS light I think you will find the w209 passenger seat has a different occupancy sensor pad than the previous model. The old sensor has two wires and the new later one has three .

Hi following my last post on 4th regarding electric seats, sorry for the delay but work kept me busy for a while i have tried changing componants from seats i took out and fitting to seat i put in but srs still shows on dash, although when driving sometimes the srs will go out, smetimes for seconds and other times for minutes but always comes back on again, may be better trying old seats back in just to see if they work as they did before the swap, davidsw thanks for your reply about wiring to seat sensor will check that at weekend.
Another job i have to do is change the worn self adjusting idler on the front of engine are these easy to change, thanks for any advice,Gavin.

Hi,
When changing the seats over did you turn the ignition on with the passenger seat removed/disconnected this would be the reason why you are having SRS warning light issues. I think I would be inclined to remove your original passenger seat occupancy switch from your original seat, and fit it in your new seat.

Hi,
Well if you think you turned the ignition on with the seat disconnected then if the donor seat occupancy sensor is ok then it should just reset but as you seem to be getting other symptoms such as the seat belt alarm/warning then this would seem to point the pad is faulty in your donor seat.
