Firstly, nice to meet such a nice bunch of people on a helpful site!
I have a 1989 W124 E230 which I love, but it's prone to getting dangerously hot. The irrepressible Haynes manual has a heading in relevant section of "testing, removal, refitting" of the Electro-mechanical fan, however the "testing" bit is entirely omitted. My fan doesn't kick in ever....I've checked the fan over and can't find a problem. I suspect that it's the switch but it isn't mentioned anywhere in the Haynes book.
Has anyone had similar experience or can they tell me where this mystery temp sensor/switch is?
Any help much appreciated.
Brian
