EMERGENCY MODE

Hello

I have a 1999 ML320 Auto which has slipped into "Emergency or Limp Home Mode". MB are a little confused as when they've hooked her up to their diagnostics the fault code is "1999" wich they have never seen before. Has anyone any knowledge of the codes, know where I can download a directory or thinks the same as me that this may well be just the manufacture year.


Also has anyone else had this on an ML320 Auto.

NO idea what the code is, but they commonly go limp when the Air Mass Sensors fail. Flat out - 40mph, 0-30 30 seconds etc - sound familiar ?
