Hi I drive a e270 cdi on 04. Whilst driving on the motorway today could hear a pressure noise when ever tried to accelerate and then noticed that the car would not accelerate beyond 65mph.
Called out rac who thinks that the pipe from the intercooler is loose due to a faulty clip and also suggested that the intercooler could be blocked. After that the engine diagnostic indicator light has come on.
Can anyone please tell me what has probably gone wrong as someone has suggested that it may be the catalyct and someone has suggested the turbo has gone. The rac chap thinks its the intercooler.
Will be taking the car to MB on Tuesday after the bank holiday.
