Hello,

It sounds like the symptoms of a crankshaft position sensor starting to break down! May be worth getting fault memory read to check for any stored codes!!

Hope this is of some help!!

A mate of mine had a wet carpet on the drivers side of his ML. It turned out to be a very small pipe in behind the pedals somewhere which had a loose connection. It was a horrible job to fix he said.

Has the windscreen been replaced recently?.....if the scuttle/drain at the base of the screen isnt fitted properly it will allow rain to enter the car.
