£100-£200 for an OEM Bosch part. Not sure what MB charge for it, but I guess quite a bit more.

The first garage was halfords, they said it was a DPF sensor and the second garage ......
The place where I'm taking the car are MB specialist, they only deal with MB's or smart cars. I will update this post with the outcome... I'm just hoping it's a simple job ( fingers crossed)OP, please find a MB specislist.
Hi I’ve got this exact problem did the soot sensor fix the issue in the end? Thank you!Update...
MB indy
The code is P3005E7 " the Soot Particulate sensor has a malfunction "
They took the senor particulate senor out and inspected it. "Test voltage at plug and all ok refit senor, road test conducted and engine light didn't appear"
They did tell me, if it appears again I would need a new soot particulate senor and They also said that there is a large back order for this part which will take some time for the part to come in.
Because this code was cleared and reappeared twice before, I thought I'd rather be safe then sorry so I placed an order for the part.
Cost for the part is 245 +Vat, labour 97 + Vat
Total: 421.80 inc Vat
Now it's just a waiting game for the part.
