Engine Management light W210

Started my car (2001 W210 E200K auto) last sunday, seemed to run rough after starting. Switched it off and back on again, ran ok but EM light stayed on. Any comments, am awaiting my dealer to organise diagnostic check.

only that you've done the right thing - or at least partially. Probably the MAS sensor, most things are!. The diag should show the fault. The only thing I would say is that whatever it is, you're going to be paying through the nose for the dealer. Get yourself a good indie - on a 2001 motor, there really isn't any point paying £95 per hour for something that can be done for £40. There isn't on a 2005 one either - so I don't.

Could be the MAF coming to the end of its life.

I only purchased car last november and it is still covered by warranty, dealer i purchased from is an indie and he uses a good indie mechanic. Car is with him today

Ran the diagnostics and couldnt find anything other than history of thingls iliek defective lamp, check coolant ( had a radiator replaced under warranty), washer level low etc. He reset the light and advised me to come back asap if it came on again. Car running well, have covered 2600 km since light came on.
