Hi all, continually having issues with my engine management light coming on. Already had a EGR valve and sensor replaced, DPF cleaned and regened and numbers all ok. Problem code signified a possible air intake leak but all hoses, pipes checked and nothing found. Car continues to show high revs before changing gear and lacks power. Have to manually change gear to get revs down. I can't even maintain 30mph in 4th gear as the revs drop and gear drops to 3rd., not much good for diesel consumption. Any ideas, suggestions would be most appreciated.
If this is down to a dodgy sensor? What could it be.
thanks

I have the same issue and the "cure" was to remove a mesh in one of the pipes to the EGR. This has worked and is apparently an approved update by Mercedes-Benz Technical, I have not picked the car up as waiting for them to confirm in writing that the tech bulletin details before I pick it up. The fault was "low pressure". Hope this helps and if anyone has any input that would be great

EML can be based on many many things and allured to by the specific error code a code reader brings up.
What was the error code that was fixed by removing the mesh and which engine.
Have you a copy of the tech bulletin as they engine specific.

Hi mate is a 69 plate c300d. They say the bulletins are confidential so wont send me the actual bulletin but asked for ref number. Just thought it may help re the original post mate. To be honest I wish I had never bought it

You might have had very similar symptoms to the OP, but I don't see it can't be the same issue. The OP car is 2013 and only has high pressure EGR.
You seem to be describing the the mesh filter in the low pressure EGR pipe, which I believe your car has. LP EGR takes gas from after DPF and feeds in back to inlet, pre turbo. The mesh is there to protect the turbo in the unlikely event of DPF damage. Sounds like MB have taken a calculated risk if they are suggesting to remove the mesh.
