Hi has anyone used Febi engine mounts on their 211 and not caused odd vibrations? Currently Lemforder's have spiked in price and Febi's are on offer and was wondering if its worth the premium?

Thank you

I suppose it depends on how much price difference there is
how long you intend to keep the car/what mileage you do .
How much it costs/time to fit
Try Autodoc for prices , eBay is doing 20% off at the moment as well.
I used Lemforder because they are OE manufacturers

Engine mounts and gearbox set are about £50 with the ebay 20% for Febi and Lemforder's from Autodoc are £50 extra. I don't mind spending extra to fit and forget and have no drama's but if there isn't much of a quality difference. I know dealer Lemforder mounts are again better than Lemforder for the aftermarket after doing some research on engine mounts.

I know this is a touchy subject. I don't want to start another war. Its Lemforder vs Febi. Ignore main dealer.

Hi has anyone used Febi engine mounts

Febi is a lottery. If you fit things yourself, give 'em a try. If you pay for installation or don't wish to waste time, get proper parts. Lemfoerder/MB etc.

Out of interest, why are you changing the mounts?

I’ve always used lemforder for suspension stuff on other cars for as long as I care to remember. Tried the odd febi item but never been happy with febi from a durability perspective.

You can feel harmonic vibrations on idle and when you lean on the torque. Also the are visually cracked and sunk.
Mine were done at 100k+ last year along with the tranny mount . Made a big difference for a small £ outlay
