Are there ANY particular settings that I need to do on my SLK 200 Kompressor in the new country, that is required to protect the engine's life?

And /or any particular settings related to performance?

I have purchased the SLK 200 Kompressor with Automatic Tip function in the UK, which was a direct import from Germany and I now live in South Africa.
The car will be arriving here at the end of August.

Please let me know.

.

I pressume you mean S Africa??

If the fuel grade is poor, there are settings in Engine control unit, under "adaptations" that will allow for igition timing to be retarded & fuel mixture to be richened. Both of these would help prevent pinking which is common with poor fuel quality
