- Mercedes A180 CDI Avantagrde 2010 w169
Hi All,
I am new to driving and new to having a car and I need some views.
I bought an A180 CDI, 2010 in a very decent condition at about 65000 miles .
So far I am happy with the car, I made some "tuning" by fitting a new sat nav myself, a head unit which makes the whole experience closer to our days.
Now, this is my first car and I have only became a fully licensed driver.
Having learnt to drive on a petrol car, I could tell mine was a bit slow, sluggish... sort of say!
I went to have it checked and I was told there is an issue with the ERG valve, an issue I can live with if I choose to, but I was told that for the car it is like running when you have asthma, you get short of breath... so this is why the car feels a bit sluggish.
Can anyone who had the same car and issue tell me if it is worth changing the valve? Has the performance improved notably which would make the investment worthwhile?
Any thoughts and past similar experiences are highly appreciated.
Thank you
Adriana
