Hi guys,
I'm starting to notice strange behaviour in my 85' 380se. I seem to have it narrowed down to an electrical problem in the jetronic system. What happens is the idle will jump to about 1600 rpm. It also does this when I unplug the idle control valve. I've tested the control valve and that doesn't seem to be the issue. I've tested the control valve plug with a voltmeter and it consistently reads 0.6 to 0.8 volts at the high idle (1600 rpm). Is this normal?
Additionally, the antilock light almost always comes on when this problem occurs. Could it be some sort of control box malfunction? Is there a relay that could be switching on and off intermittently?
Thanks,
-Troy
