i believe the p1664 code is the extra electrical heater. a component used to create fast hot coolant on start up to demist screens quickly on winter days. a very common failure and nothing whatsoever to do with the idle problem.

As alexander posted, the p code is as he says, i have just checked on my autodata.
So the code has nothing to do with your idle.
