Hi All,
Nowthat I fixed the AC in my car I now have other error codes! I do not believe that they are related.
The error codes I got were
P2359 Boost pressure control maximum exceeded
P2355 EGR Air Mass too low.

I have read many threads about the MAF etc, but before I start I would like to get reassurance that I am on the right lines.

My aims were to
examine and clean (using IPA not the drink!) :
the EGR .
pressure sensor
MAF.
I will obviously check all lines to check for any leaks too!

Any other suggestions

I forgot to mention the car is a w245 (b class 2000, 55 plate)
Thanks in advance
Suki

sounding like a possible turbo fault, suggest you invest in a star session with a pro.

Hi,
Thank you for your response.
Perhaps a silly questions , but what wil the star system do that the codes do not provide?
(and another question ... how must is the STAR kit?)

fault codes are the tip of the iceberg - star can offer guided tests, actual values, events log, link up to probable causes and WIS documents etc etc.

Hi All
I manged to fix the car!
I removed the air filter and examined a EGR
There was a split hose which was reducing the vacuum!
All fixed!

B Class CDi 1.8
P2359 error code on OBD

I've searched this group and discovered someone else had encountered this error which was attributed to the turbo boost, and in their case a split hose. I took a look myself at my CDi B Class 1.8, air filter good and hoses look intact. Beginning to think my issue with an infrequent drop in power (and not being able to override automatic gears) is associated with the turbo booster which = £££. Can someone please advise on this?

Thanks
