Hi guys, I have recently replaced my brake discs and pads on my CLK and it looks like some idiot has removed the speed sensor to stop the warning lights coming on!! (near side front) The issue goes further I think as they didn't just remove the sensor but they have removed the connection to the module in the engine bay and not sure where to start looking to get and reconnect all the bits again in the right place etc, any advice and help would be appreciated

If you have no speed sensor, system cannot be functional.
yes i do understand that but I think the previous owner took sensor out due to the poor condition of the discs and pads, so what I need to know is how to put it back in, it looks like the link form the sensor cable to the module has been removed as well

There is no pad sensor or speed sensor on one wheel as I think all connections were removed by previous owner

something doesn’t make sense here. If the socket for the sensor is removed, You will still get the error and more. The speed sensor is the abs sensor too so there is a lot of things not potentially working with the car. Abs, esp, power steering.
Definitely need pics here because it just simply doesn’t add up.
if the PO removed t he cabling he would have had to do that for all wheels and remove the modules and reprogram the car.

I know the abs sensor is also the speed sensor which is why I am getting the code, and from what you have said the module for the near side front wheel has been removed and then the system reset, but I also think where you would normally plug the sensor in has also been stripped out as there is no where to plug into

OP, I think you need to get your car to a reputable Indy who can have a thorough look for you. Best of luck and be sure to keep us all posted.
