Anybody know where B24/16 rotary speed and lateral acceleration sensor is located on Slk 200 2006 1.8 convertible I have a dtc code c1160.

Which reader? Star finder don't know component B24/16 for R171. B24/15 is turn rate sensor, located on under right seat.

Is that the drivers side in the UK any idea what it looks like colour size etc thanks .

Star finder does not know RHD cars, or diesel related products. Sometimes LHD/RHD does not swap components, sometimes it does.

No some say it’s under the right seat .and I’ve been told it’s in the boot ? It’s a bit of a canumdrum. Don’t know where to look .

Or even a conundrum.
These are almost always near the middle of any car so usually on the floor of the passenger compartment. Under a seat is the most likely place.

This doesn't show it clearly but suggests same.

This suggests it is indeed in the leading edge of the boot:
