I wonder how many Euro MP's are also getting backhanders from the big car manufacturers.
Unfortunately this country is not democratic enough to allow us a referendum on the EU.
If the laws are now made by the EU,why do we need our own MP's?

Because they probably couldn't get a real job and so no one would pay them and they wouldn't be able to claim on the social as they wouldn't be able to fill the forms in. So in a way it's care in the community, we pay to look after all the nice MP's and they reward us by passing laws to make our lives easier and our country better

Middle finger to the EU, they will never stop independants from trading, these p£icks should come round to mine one day and have a chat, then I'd like to see how well they drive away in their dealer serviced BMW with two broken hands.

Realized how long I'd been out of the UK when I found this post. My immediate reaction was "WTF has the EU to do with the Indy 500":D:D So I read on.
Phew, at least the EU isn't trying to run our lives.

Very interesting approach. Here in Australia, Commonwealth law forces exactly the opposite situation. Manufacturers must supply relevant data and parts, etc to anybody requiring them at a reasonable price. So they can't even apply unrealistic pricing to restrict access.

I suspect there is more to this than meets the eye.
Block exemption is a lot more complicated than just allowing indies to do a service without affecting the warranty and to allow data and parts to be available to indies. It covers relationships between dealers and manufacturers too. I imagine its these rules they are looking to relax.
What the EC appear to be saying is that there are now other rules and regs that effectively do the same job but aren't motor specific. If so, then fine, though details appear a little sketchy.

removing us from the EU is notthe solution. Doing things that benefit our nation is.
Ialy have the same EU rules too but they just do what they like anyway.
Eg they deport foreign EU criminals easily all the time. something the UK seems hard to perform

I'll ask you this, do you think the EU benefits the UK in anyway. Would we have a "better" country if we didn't join it? I think yes, others not?
