I need brake pads front and rear on my S320.

Eurocar parts have as listed below
ATE £85 inc vat plus censors, or Eicher £45 inc vat plus censors.

Mercedes £130 inc vat and censors, he said he discounted a bit!!

I know it's £40 more from Merc and I will go for them but do you think they are much better quality?

can't influence you too much

but ATE are big big names here, and OEM manufacturers on MB for a lot of models.

I think you will find that ATE are OE and as such will be okay, they were on my E240. I purchased mine from MB as they were only £5.00 dearer and of course much nearer to me to collect.

I have used ATE brake parts all around on my CLK. I had them fitted about 8 months ago and havent had any issues. No squeeks etc either and i was surprised to find all the parts on my braking system were all ATE(brake caliper, pads, old discs etc)

they are well worth, I wouldnt go for the Eicher ones though. you can also try Brembo from GSF they are equally good but slightly expensive than ATE

ATE were original parts on my E-class - my last set lasted over 3 years and 60K miles before needing to be replaced.

Or if you want something that produce lower dust levels (saves having to clean those alloys so often) and improved braking, you could try EBC pads Green Stuff, and Red Stuff pads, thoroughly recommended by other forum users, to the point I have just purchased a set of EBC Red Stuff pads for my C43.

I did hear that Ferrodo were going to start supplying Mercedes with brake pads but I cant confirm that.

They are usually made by Jurid or as said earlier ATE.

They are 50% more in price than ATE though. Red stuff pads are £77/£67 for front/rear.

But having said that, they probaby are alot better option for your C43 than any other brand out there
