Exact Manufacture Date

Please clarify following from Russian Site. (old.mbclub.ru/mb/vin)
Exact date manufactured.
It states delivery date 12/08/04 am I to assume that THIS is the exact date when car made.
Prior to this there is a code 04 53739732 or does this mean manufactured late 2003 and if so how do you break the exact date down.
The car is an E270CDI
VIN No WDB2110162A665791

I believe the delivery date is the delivery date.
To get a good idea of when it was built take a look at the date stamps on plastic components in the car. These are usually made just before it is all screwed together.

The code number looks like a commission number which is allocated to a vehicle prior to being manufactured. The first 2 numbers identify the year of manufacture (i.e. '04' is 2004 and '07' is 2007 etc).

The delivery date could be the manufacture date but could also be something like the date the car was delivered to the exit port.

that is the order number for the car....
04 = model year
537 = country built for
39732 = the actual order number

i believe that the delivery date is the date it left the factory, as it is not always in the same order as the serial number of the vehicle, illl try and find out for definite.
