Have just discovered my CLA 250 Sport front left is totally worn down past the bar & right less than 1mm above bar; Pirelli 235/35 ZR19's with only 4,687 miles on the clock! Surely this is excessive... anyone else experienced this or can advise potential cause / action to take, appreciated. Completely shocked... I'm not hard on my cars.

It sounds like you need a proper alignment check done on your suspension components.
If the camber is slightly out the tyres will wear quickly on the insides (negative camber)

The outfit everyone recommends is Wheels in Motion in Chesham Bucks.
You don't state you location so this may not be of any help.
It does need doing on a Hunter alignment machine by someone experienced and not a £30 Kwik fit job.

Smart + others :)
If the alignment was that far out the car would feel twitchy on the road, get it checked to be sure otherwise you have a heavy right foot.

Lol, sincere thanks for the reply. To be honest I drive more like Miss Daisy. The wear on the actual tyre is pretty even hence why I didn't consider tracking. Thanks again.

Sincere thanks. Unfortunately I'm just South of Glasgow. Hadn't considered tracking as wear on each tyre is pretty even & doesn't pull to the side. Will be visiting dealer first thing tomorrow... starting to wonder if they had part worn boots when I bought it... was a "field" car with only 9 miles on it when I bought it... unless they wheel spun the entire 9 miles. Many thanks again for the advice.

If you are saying that both tyres have worn the same, that is most likely a tracking error. If they are worn on the outside edge they will be towing in to much, if on the inside edge towing out.

If you are going to have to pay for this to be checked, I would bring it to MB in Grangemouth. My last car wore out its first front tyres quite quickly, tho' not as quickly as yours, and they found a slight error in alignment which they corrected. Interestingly they told me that misalignment from the factory is not that uncommon, but understandable when you see how quickly it is done on the production line.

Only wheel alignment that can be carried out front and rear is Toe/Directional adjustment.
Check out K-MAC website, they have full front Camber and Caster also rear Camber and extra Toe kits, plus much more.
