Exclamation mark !

Driving in very heavy rain today. Stopped to turn right at a junction,as I pulled round the corner the big yellow triangle with the exclamation mark in the middle of it flickered twice and then went off. Car is running fine no problems at all. Any ideas and what is the meaning of the sign.

I've found that with a 5litre V8 that little light is on ALOT!
