Hi all

Couldn't figure out if this the right place so Meh.

I am looking for an exhaust place that can put my new exhaust cutout valves in my system and then connect them up my amg back box.

In and around Harrow, Ealing or anywhere nearby really.

I hear a lot of the places are pretty bad or want to charge silly money, so any recommendations?

Longlife have proved to be very satisfactory for many of us....franchised outlets but I have not heard any poor reports.

I have heard that as well. The closest one is an hour away though. As it's custom work I would need to make a trip to see if what I want is viable.

Maybe are a trip there tomorrow.

Powerflow? I think that long life own them now but one of our dealers is a powerflow dealer A14 performance, and they have made us some cracking exhausts for us and some of the 24hr Britcars.

I have used a powerflow place in Hayes before but they want to charge through the nose! The work i had done by them in the past was so so as well. Maybe it was just that one?

Must have been that one! At the end of the day the materials can be bought by anyone!! But its the person behind the materials and the end result! Our one has three exhausts for our 24hr Britcars.

With Longlife and Poweflow they are franchises and the quality varys from place to place. Check for reviews of the branch you innted to use.

I used Powerflow in Hayes once, never again!

www.haywardandscott.com in Essex but have read good things about them.

Basicaly a valve that allows you to bypass the silencers and go straight pipe, then back again when you want it quiet :)

If I can fit the ****** exhaust valves in there

I have already removed my center resonator and replaced them with straight pipes, so I am hoping they will fit there...

on a 55 that will be a seriously nice mod!

depending on the size of the centre silencers, you may even be able to get the additional pipes to run INSIDE the old boxes, for a more factory look?
shame the rear boxes cant be bypassed when you want to wake the neighbours! ;);):rolleyes:

incidentally, where do the 'valves' come from?

This is what Rebellion have designed, the pipes go through the rear boxes (on the C63)

Strange, if I was into manufacturing pipes, I would have used the stock layout and put the control valve inside the modified rear box

im not sure that can be done, as usually the pipe ends or has a perforated pipe inside the box. however in the case of a custom built system such as the one in the photo, i see no reason why it couldnt be done, unless theres a problem in getting the gas to pass into the silencer when required due to the mounting of the flaps?

its a custom box so could easily be a self contained system rather than two feed pipes.

thinking about this some more, does that mean that only 1 of the tailpipes on that system is used each side at any given time?
