Hi,
I'm new on the forum, so hello to all.

Right the problem, i bought my c180 last summer. The car has run prefectly fine, however the CAT died on the way to manchester, so i had to get it fitted at a local National Autocare (I know not the best choice). After that the back box went, and was replaced my Mercedes. However since then there has been some hiss'ing coming from the front end of the car. :-|
I've taken it back many times to national, but they say theres nothing wrong with the CAT.

I went this morning again, and this time they have said its a small bracket on the manifold thats holds the downpipe and the CAT in place.

Has anyone else had the problem? any ideas?

thanks in advance

Hello and welcome.
Doesn't sound too complicated! You have a simple exhaust leak somewhere. Get the car on a ramp and clap the heel of your hand momentarily over the end of the exhaust pipe while someone listens underneath. This should accentuate the noise/hiss sufficiently to pinpoint it.
Good luck.

You can use a nice round fruit or potato instead of your hand.
